Aim of the course - learn how to assess a patient's condition, identify sudden death, choking, life-threatening bleeding and other acute conditions, and provide first aid.

Quality initial resuscitation and the use of an automated external defibrillator in the event of sudden death are skills that everyone should know. Not only the patient's life, but also their quality of life depends on these actions. Helping in the first few minutes in the event of life-threatening bleeding, choking or other acute conditions can save a life. The course teaches emergency actions in practical simulated situations up to automation, using the most advanced training equipment.

The course has been prepared in accordance with the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), American Heart Association (AHA) 2020 recommendations.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:

  • perform high quality chest compressions,
  • apply pressure dressing, tourniquet,
  • manage wounds in different areas using the first aid kit,
  • immobilise limbs with the aid of assistive devices,
  • provide first aid for drowning, burns, poisoning, bites, frostbite, freezing, stroke, heart attack, convulsions and fainting.

You will learn:

  • the importance of initial resuscitation,
  • how to rationalise medical care in the first minutes of a clinical death,
  • the principles of teamwork.

Course duration:

  • practice 4 hours.
  • theory reading time 4 hours.

Course certificate 8 hours suitable for renewal of  licenses in all specialties.
