    The course is based on active learning, demanding your attention and participation throughout. Because the lessons are meant to train and practice your skills, you will need theoretical knowledge from reading course material and finishing tests.

    Aim of the course - to learn to collect obstetrical and gynecologycal anamnesis, to perform a standardized initial asssesment of a woman / pregnant woman and fetus, to get skills in consultation of pregnant and gynecologycal patients.

     

    Course objectives:

    1. To learn to perform a standardized initial asssesment of a pregnant woman and fetus condition.
    2. To learn to collect a gynecologycal anamnesis and to perform a standardized gynecological examination.
    3. To learn to perform a standardized assessment of women with lower abdomen pain and to perform a differential diagnosis of the gynecological causes of acute abdomen.
    4. To learn to evaluate the postpartum infection and to perform a differential diagnosis of the causes of postpartum infection.

    You will learn:

    • to collect obstetric history,
    • to perform external Obstetric examination,
    • indications for internal Obstetric examination,
    • to explain the inner Obstetric examination sequence,
    • to make an initial assessment of the fetal condition.

     

  • TOPIC 2. Full medical history and physical examination of woman. Bimanual Vaginal examination - Mandatory

    Topic Aim - learn to perform a standardized gynecological examination.

    You will learn:

    • to collect OB/GYN patient medical history (anamnesis),
    • to complete clinical breast examination (inspection and palpation),
    • to perform external and internal gynecological examination,
    • to explain bimanual vaginal examination sequence,
    • to take PAP smear.

  • TOPIC 3. Acute abdomen in gynecology - Recommended

    Topic Aim - learn to perform a standardized assessment of women with lower abdomen pain and to perform differential diagnosis of gynecological causes of acute abdomen.

    You will learn:

    • to perform clinical assessment of the abdomen and recognize acute abdomen,
    • be able to assess tests, that are needed for differential diagnosis of acute abdomen in gynecology,
    • to perform differential diagnosis of acute abdomen in gynecology,
    • to perform differential diagnosis of acute abdomen in gynecology.
